Lessons with Laura
I'm a violin and viola teacher with over 20 years experience. I've taught students at all levels, from 3 year olds to adults learning for the first time or dusting off their instrument from their school days! For children, I believe that strong parental involvement in the early years of lessons make an amazing difference in the motivation and improvement of the child.
If you are a new student, or had lessons 20 years ago, I can work with all levels and abilities. I hope to bring my experience and knowledge to the community here in the Charente region of France. I'm just starting out here so please send me a message if you are interested in lessons!
Previously, I taught students at The Bermuda School of Music on the island of Bermuda. I started my teaching as a graduate student at the College-Conservatory of Music at University of Cincinnati.
Private Lessons
This is the best way to see results! Once a week during school terms, school breaks and summer to be arranged. Home practice and commitment is expected.
€20 per half hour; ask about rates per term
Group Lessons
Group lessons are a great introduction to the violin or viola. Group lessons are also required as an additional class for private lesson students. Please ask about enrolling in a group class.

Exam Preparation
I have helped many students pass their exams with flying colors. This is particularly for current private students who are dedicated to their practice and learning. I am available for help with violin, viola, music theory, solfege, and ear training. I have experience with ABRSM and RCM exams, and can also assist with students who are doing other exam syllabi.
