We are a small collective of professional musicians located in Southwest France.
With many years of experience catering to various ceremonies and events, we are committed to performing high-quality music for special occasions throughout Nouvelle Aquitaine.

How do we decide our musical selections? First take a look at our repertoire page to get an idea of the music we play. For key moments (ceremony entrance/exit, first dance) we discuss your requirements and confirm the month before your event.

Is there a set list, or we can request special music? Requests are always welcome. We constantly add new music to our repertoire based on requests and current trends.

Are there travel fees to our venue? We are based in SW France in various locations and can let you know if travel fees are required at the initial enquiry.

Do you play with amplification? For solo violin & cello, we can. Electric violin, definitely! This is based on the size of the area where we are playing & number of guests. For duo, trio, quartet, we are not currently set up with amplification.

Duo Violin & Cello
Laura and the other musicians were absolutely fantastic and all our guests remarked on how lovely the music was. We picked quite niche songs for our ceremony which Laura and the quartet were more than willing to perform and put musical arrangements to. Laura also gave us a large repertoire of songs to pick from for the cocktail hour (which catered for all possible musical tastes and preferences) which made things very easy in that we simply had to pick songs from the existing repertoire that we wanted performed.
We would recommend Ensemble Obbligato to all couples that are looking for a quartet to perform for their wedding!
